The Swansea-born Pakistan all-rounder started off wanting to be a fast-bowler like Wasim Akram, but he turned out to be a left-arm spinner who is renowned for his accuracy. A champion at the Under-19 level, Imad lifted the 2006 U-19 World Cup for Pakistan as their captain. Later in his career he got called up to the Pakistan line-up as a bowling all-rounder, and turned out to be an important member of their 2016 WT20 campaign. He made his debut in the CPL 2016 for Jamaica Tallawahs, winning the Championship with them in his first year. Imad Wasim played every game for Pakistan in the 2017 Champions Trophy, all the way till the final, in which they beat their arch-rivals India.
