A fast-bowler with an easy action and an uncanny knack to reverse the ball like plenty of the other Pakistani fast-bowlers behind him, Hasan Ali had a poor start to this year’s Champions Trophy against arch-rivals India. His comeback though would be remembered for years to come as his 13 wickets took Pakistan all the way, helping them claim their first ICC trophy in ODIs since 1992. Four consecutive three-wicket hauls after picking just a single wicket against India meant he was catapulted to the top of the wicket takers chart earning him the player of the tournament award. On the T20 front, Hasan Ali won with Pakistan Super League for Peshawar Zalmi, picking 12 wickets in 11 games with a fighting average of 21.66. Hasan Ali would be one of the players to watch out for this Caribbean Premier League.
