Stars line up for charity T20 clash

The Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) have announced that an all-star charity T20 game featuring legends Brian Lara, Sir Viv Richards and Dwight Yorke will take place at Warner Park in St Kitts on Thursday, July 2nd.
 
Current stars and a number of cricketing heroes will come together to mark an exhilarating two weeks in which St Kitts will host ten Hero CPL matches, the first CPL matches to be held on the island.
 
The teams, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis XI and the Sir Vivian Richards XI, will include current Hero CPL commentators Danny Morrison, Damien Martyn, Darren Gough, Murali Kartik, Ian Bishop and Daren Ganga. The iconic names of Imran Khan and Brian Lara will feature on the scorecard, while the decorated former soccer star Dwight Yorke will also take part.

Damien O’Donohoe, CEO of the Hero Caribbean Premier League expects a “fun and colourful evening of entertaining cricket, whilst raising money for a worthy cause.”
 
All proceeds from the game will go to a local charity, the St Kitts-Nevis National Education Foundation (SKNNEF), a non-profit organisation that seeks to provide disadvantaged students with the opportunity to receive an excellent education.
 
St Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris was delighted to see the Hero CPL all-star charity T20 match take place in St Kitts and Nevis.

Sir Vivian Richards is hoping that plenty of fans will attend the match and make it an atmosphere to remember.
